Self Care:

Most of us go against a 'law of nature'.

We take care of everyone else first.  Maybe we have learned to get our sense of self by doing this, or did someone teach us that it is expected of us in order to be a good person?

Are you among the many who can't say 'no'?   If you do, do you feel guilty?

Are you always tired, too busy with everyone else's life and not paying enough attention to your own?

Are you still doing for those in your house (or your life), who can do for themselves?

When you aren't worried about something or dealing with some sort of crisis, are you bored?

Are you still caring for or rescuing adult children?  Are you raising their children?

If you have answered yes to some of these questions, it is time to get on with your life.

Oh, I can hear you saying that too many other people depend on you, that's because they can.

There is no greater insult than doing something for someone that they can do for themselves.  Be a teacher by example, live your life in a good way and empower others to do the same.

If your life is too full for self care and being 'self' centered, time to house clean in your 'to do' list.

It is important to take care of yourself so you can do for others without resentment.  Make time at the beginning of each day for yourself.  Think how good you will feel about yourself when you actually put yourself first.

The most important relationship you have is with yourself.  This relationship determines the type of relationship you will have with others.

No one can give without resentment to others when they do not give to themselves.

It is your birth right to be happy and it is your responsibility.

Love yourself the way you want to be loved and love others the way you want to be loved.

Remember we teach others how to treat us.

Now go do something wonder-filled for yourself.
